In mid-December, Bell Helicopter delivered its 20th EMS 429 of 2017 to Heliand, based in Andorra, on the Franco-Spanish border. The delivery took place at Bell’s European facility in Prague. The aircraft is configured to support Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) and Search and Rescue (SAR) in Andorra. “We continue to see strong growth for the Bell 429 in Europe, particularly for HEMs and SAR mission segments,” said Patrick Moulay, Executive Vice President, Commercial Sales and Marketing. “The Bell 429 offers the best readiness rate of any aircraft in its class, making it the choice aircraft when minutes matter.” According to the manufacturer, the Bell 429 is several steps ahead of its competitors, making it one of the best lightweight twin-engine helicopters available in terms of safety and adaptability.
