Russian Helicopters’ engineers will soon be testing the Ka-52K’s airborne equipment’s ability to withstand electromagnetic interference.
One of the preproduction samples of the Ka-52K is currently being prepared for testing of external electromagnetic field resistance of airborne avionics and chains with aerial weapons.
The second sample is undergoing preliminary tests in airfield-based conditions, while a third is undergoing testing of the new inertial navigation system. “The Ka-52K helicopter is currently going through the final stages of tests, and Russian Helicopters is ready to start serial production in the next few years. The development of this machine was ordered by the Ministry of Defense, and we are currently considering the possibility of using Ka-52K helicopters not only on the Admiral Kuznetsov heavy aircraft-carrying missile cruiser, but also on frigates and large anti-submarine ships able to accommodate one or more helicopters,” stressed Russian Helicopters CEO Andrey Boginsky.
