Following a boom in demand for helicopter charter in the pandemic travel landscape, leading UK VIP helicopter charter company, Apollo Air Services has announced their first southern UK base at Cambridge City Airport. As more travellers are turning to helicopter travel for the privacy, flexibility, hygiene, and personal space, Apollo has added the base to meet the growing demand and to better serve the south of England and northern Europe.
Apollo Air Services has experienced a 40% increase in enquiries YOY since lockdown eased, with half of these enquiries from first time customers, and last month became the first helicopter company in the UK to install ground-breaking air purification, proven to deactivate 99.4% of airborne virus including COVID-19.
One of its new AW109 aircraft will be located at Cambridge City Airport and is ready to charter now.

Apollo already has four bases in Carlisle, Leeds, St Andrews and Cardiff, and with the new addition of Cambridge, will be better placed to meet the growing demand for helicopter travel and service the south of the UK including London, the south coast and European cities such as Paris and Brussels.
