Mexican Oil&Gas operator Transportes Aéreos Pegaso has signed for an additional H175, bringing to four the number of orders it has placed for this super-medium. Delivered in the summer of 2016, the first aircraft has been performing crew change missions for geo-seismic vessels. A second H175 will be delivered in the spring of 2018 to serve one of the first international companies to start deep water operations in Mexico’s Perdido Belt.
Pegaso is also the first customer in the Americas to sign a contract for FlyScan, the data analysis software that helps customers to analyse and manage the Health & Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) data from their helicopter fleet activities. Enabling operators to optimise predictive maintenance, FlyScan enhances flight safety, increases fleet availability and reduces the maintenance burden by up to seven percent. Their FlyScan contract also covers 4 H155 in their fleet.
“With more than 30 years of experience our company has earned a reputation for safety and service and we continue to invest to become a key player in the recovering Mexican O&G market”, declared Enrique Zepeda Navarro, Managing director of Transportes Aéreos Pegaso. “In the coming years, Mexican deep water activities will take place from over 120 up to 200 NM and we are convinced the H175 – with its smooth ride, long range and large fuel tank- is just the right aircraft for this type of operations”.
