A major oil company has ordered three Sikorsky S-92 helicopters to service its offshore platforms off Mexico. They will be used for personnel pick up and for search and rescue. “We are very pleased that this operator has chosen S-92 to perform these essential missions,” said David Martin, vice president of Sikorsky Oil & Gas.
According to Sikorsky, in 2018, the number of flying hours of the S-92 fleet increased by 7% despite the slowing demand for off-shore transport.
